Prior to installation, you must ensure your Linux server has the following characteristics:

  1. Firewalls, ports, unblocked URLs:
    1. Confirm the Ports & Routing specifications in the below article have been set up correctly:
      2.0: Hardware & OS Specifications
    2. An alternative list of required ports and URLs can be found on the Replicated site here:
      https://help.replicated.com/community/t/customer-firewalls/55
  2. Linux user must be EITHER:
    1. Root user, OR
    2. User with full sudo permissions, OR
    3. A user that is part of the 'docker' group
  3. OPTIONAL: a trusted SSL certificate for the machine (it's ok if you don't have this yet, the initial install will generate a self-signed certificate if you don't have one ready yet, and you can always add one later on in the install process)

Once you've confirmed the Linux server has those characteristics, please proceed to the next article for your Installation Steps.
